Ask a friend to help me with my computer issues...???
LS
If you are experiencing a computer issue, do not trust the guy down the hall, who is “good with computers”, your teenage son, who “set up his own Xbox”, or your bail bondsman friend, who once had a laptop and a desktop at the same time. People like this can do more harm than good when trying to resolve your computer issues.
There is a reason you pay a computer professional. We are trained, and have the experience to help you. Someone who thinks they know technology will do a lot more experimenting to reach a solution for you. A paid professional will not guess or experiment to help you. We use knowledge and empiricism to reach a solution.
Avoid the convenience of technical support because someone claims they can help you. Pass on that enticing offer from the non-professional. Hold out until you reach a computer professional. Your peace of mind will be worth the price you pay.
Even within the tech field, there is a huge disparity of technical expertise. Choose well. If you prefer not to work with me, that is fine. Ask for a referral from someone you trust. Also, ensure you know your data is safe and redundantly protected.
